@zettasyntax do you remember what date your portal was updated?
My portal updated today. I’m an Accounting Major so i’ll be going to Leventhal
i sent in my second semester grades and i got a little worse than what i got first semester…is this something i should be really worried about? i don’t understand how they go through these and decide is it just GPA based?
I live 30 minutes away from USC. I never once called admissions or spoke to a counselor. I figured my application would speak for itself. Any Cerritos College students on here?
@Roxy22 It was mid-July. I got an SGR and my spring semester ended in early June, so I had to wait about a month. I wasn’t lucky enough to hear back really fast. I know my portal updated around midnight, that I’m 100% sure of.
@MoriahDawn Can you post your stats please! I’m sure all of us SCA applicants would really appreciate it 
Every time my portal loads slower than normal or gets an error, I get paranoid.
I had a 3.89 GPA at the time I sent my application but fell to a 3.29 GPA for the spring and I was still admitted.
I received a SGR last night on the portal, still no physical letter. My semester ends mid-June so I’ll have a while to wait I guess! SCA transfer with junior standing currently at SMC.
Do portals only update at night?
How long does it usually take to receive a decision after submitting grades for an sgr?
Also, roughly how many sgrs are accepted, vs. rejected, vs. admitted for the spring, proportionately? Does anyone have any ball-park idea?
Any history majors hear back yet?
i had an SGR and sent grades right away and i called them and then emailed them and they said they received it but the message about requesting the grades is still there. is that normal? it’s been like 10 days. does the message ever go away on its own or only once it’s being reviewed. does it say “your application is under review”?
Dose housing portal working for anybody? You can go to housing.usc.edu use your USC ID number and click forgot password to see if you can receive an email from housing office. Because if admitted, the housing office will have your information on file and you can apply housing through your portal.
The message disappeared for me after two days
@illuxa Hi hi!! History major here and I heard back on the 23rd. They sent my package out on the 22nd and I received it the next day mid-afternoon, I live in LA. My portal updated today. I have about 61 units by the end of this spring and my GPA is a 3.5 currently. I was accepted for Spring 2018.

@illuxa if you don’t mind me asking, what did you apply as and what school are you transferring from?
Called admissions to reaffirm what we all already know. “decisions for transfers have started to tinkle out since a month ago, USC will mail out and update portals by june 1st. so you will know by then”
If anybody doesn’t hear by June 1st on their portal (acceptance, rejection, SGR), I’d be sorta curious to know how common (or rare) it is to be “forgotten” and actually hear past the deadline
