Accepted to Marshall for Spring 2018. However, I don’t feel like wasting a whole semester.

Portal just updated - accepted for Spring 2018 to Dornsife, Global Studies major!!! Letter is dated July 8.
@delzzz321 It’s fairly difficult If anything, freshmen spring admits are more likely to get moved up from spring to fall. I definitely consider myself the poster boy for this. I annoyed the heck out of random people after my admissions counselor Clay Busia responded very negatively to my inquiry about being moved up. He said something like “It’s not going to happen, so let’s not talk about that any further”. It was very harsh in my opinion. Aside from emailing random deans in Dornsife, I also sent a letter to the USC prez’s house. I didn’t expect a direct response from him, but I certainly thought it would get his attention. In the end, I just got a letter from the dean of Dornsife that wasn’t at all helpful.
@ahhhhhomg Not in a helpful sense, no. As mentioned earlier, your USC GPA is fresh. They certainly keep record of your transfer GPA but only in determining honors. They take your USC GPA and your USC GPA + transfer GPA. Whichever GPA is lower, that’s the one they use as your GPA for determining honor cord distribution. In that sense, I don’t really see why they bother to keep record of it at all. It’s almost like it’s punishing those that didn’t do the best in CC

When I go to check my application status, it says my user id cannot be found. Anyone know why this is happening?
If you’re accepted to the spring semester, do you have to take the fall semester off, or can you continue at your current school?
@tuftsjumbo11 I think they encourage you to stay in school and continue getting transferrable credits
@katienewsom24 that’s what I was leaning towards as well. I wonder how that works with your current school though
I just got my acceptance package in the mail last night! It was dated for June 11. Anyone have any idea how long it will take for portal to upload and financial aid package to post?
