I see no problem with people being anxious about decisions. We received a request for financial aid info and it happened to have a student ID on it which indicated our daughter was most likely accepted. Still, the wait for official acceptance was tough for ED 1. I can’t imagine what those of you waiting for RD are going through. Feel free to guess, ask questions or whatever it takes to help you get through the wait. Good luck to you all.

I just got a letter saying I was accepted to their Integrated Business and Engineering honors program!!

@CCrunner24 , congrats! btw is it official admission letter with financial aid?
Do u live in PA?

IBE came out today? what’s the date on your letter?
congratz CCrunner24!

Thanks guys!

@Mhyoon It’s official but they didn’t give me any financial aid or merit scholarships yet. They said that I will receive all that by the end of the month. Also I do live in PA.

@Donald203 the date on the letter is March 15. Did you apply for this program?

Congrats on your acceptance - my son was accepted ED 1 and Britsmum is correct - it is a LONG wait…good luck to everyone. Everyone seems like they are such nice “young adults” cannot wait for you to have the Lehigh experience…I am sure it will be fantastic!!

CCrunner24, if you don’t mind what are your stats?

@CCrunner24: yes I did. the letter should be here by now, I live in NY. I probably didn’t get in as I expected.

In state, 31 ACT, 4.0 unweighted GPA, 4.3 weighted GPA, 4 total AP classes and pretty much everything else was Honors, good teacher recommendations, good essays, and good extracurriculars (mainly community service, varsity athlete, and captain of the cross country and track teams)

@Donald203 I wouldn’t worry about. Maybe only in-state applicants received letters so far. And even if you didn’t get in to IBE that doesn’t mean you won’t get into the school

Congratulations on the acceptance CCRunner24! I hope by the end of this week we’ll all be able to post about our acceptances…

Congrats CC, that’s an awesome accomplishment!

And EdwardWitten, I probably did overanalyze everything, too, but the point of what I’m saying is that you guys needn’t worry so much because that’s what I did and eventually regretted it. I made my month(s) before decision time hell for myself. If I sound hypocritical then I’m really sorry - especially since I hate the “do as a say, not as I do” mentality.

3.4 gpa

Lehigh2017, I said that only to promote self-awareness! Don’t apologize. But I definitely noticed that you brought a lot of (in hindsight, unnecessary) stress upon yourself. Don’t regret it – learn from it! I’m sure the urge to stress will reappear when the time to apply to med school inevitably arrives, and it will benefit you to look back on how you how you feel now regarding how you felt during the days and months prior to hearing of your acceptance to Lehigh.

If I get accepted and decide to attend, I’m definitely making sure I meet you next year. You seem like a cool dude.

Love,
Edward

CCrunner94 congrats! My S said by your stats and other posts he knows who you are… really happy for you! You and S played soccer together briefly way back when for Tri-Boro, we know your cousin W, and we ran into your parents outside of the bookstore at the Legacy weekend last fall. Lehigh is also his first choice, hoping for good news in the next week or so as well. And congrats to your parents, I’m sure they’re very proud!

I think the simplest (perhaps not the easiest) thing for those still waiting is to get off this website. I wasn’t on this website for about two weeks, and I felt a lot more relaxed because I wasn’t reading about how spots were filling up, and how those that were already accepted had stellar stats. I dunno, just my two cents; no one has to really listen.

Thanks Yocco1! But I’m not sure if I know your S. I was never much of a soccer player (I don’t even think I played past the age of 10) and my parents have never attended Legacy weekend. Good luck to your S though! Hopefully one day we’ll be able to meet up

Sounds good, EdwardWitten! I’m sure you’ll be accepted; if I remember correctly you’re a very strong applicant. And yeah, med school stress will be just as bad (maybe worse) so I hope I can look back and remember how this experience was.

CCrunner24… are your dad and mom’s first initials L & M, respectively? Your dad was coach of the soccer team I referred to.

If my son’s wrong, no harm done. Still a big congrats, Lehigh is a great school (I went there and loved it)!

I’m a bit confused. Are they only sending out special acceptances now? Are they sent out in waves, or in a single batch? Lol I just feel a bit out of the loop considering that many people on CC have heard back and I have not.
