Where did you hear this and how did they find out?

A friend of a friend told me and the girl who was rejected found out on her portal
My portal is still the same. So, does that mean some decisions got released last week?
TTP kid, has a 4.0 gpa, AND doing everything that they are supposed to be doing, but got rejected? Maybe I’m wrong, but I personally have never heard of that.
I absolutely HATE when people do this… but I’m gonna do this anyways because my anxiety about these decisions are KILLING ME…
Should I feel ok about my chances?
I am applying for Global Business (Second choice is Business Admin) I applied to USC with a 3.91, A’s in all my major coursework. 4 W’s (I explained concrete events that lead to these W’s in my app) I went to India to help the development of a non profit company/school there thrive. I have a letter of req from my supervisor from that job. My essays reflected this and I also talked about my desire to mix my love of fashion and Global Business together in pursuit of positive international change.
I really really want to get in. I got into UCLA but idk I feel like I’m meant to be at USC.
@bksyazd I absolutely think you should feel okay! Not only have you maintained an incredibly high GPA, but you also went above and beyond and got real-life experience in India. And I think mixing global business and fashion makes you stand out, especially because you care about international change. Obviously, W’s don’t look good, and I cant positively say that USC won’t hold them against you, but from every other aspect, I think you would absolutely fit in at USC. Every USC student I know, has a “thing.” They may own their own business, have a podcast, run a website, and it’s part of what makes the school have such an ambitious spirit. And I think you are starting to show that you have that same spirit at well. And if USC can’t see that, UCLA is an amazing option to have and you will certainly thrive there as well
How do you find your acceptance status on portal? It only brings me to the page with my application status.
@milkteaman All the decisions aren’t out yet. If your portal still only shows your application status, then you are still waiting for your decision. Normally, you get a packet in the mail before your portal shows your decision.
@atldreamer4 thank you so much for your feedback! I may not get into USC but you have helped me diminish my anxiety so that I can actually get back to other homework I have to complete. Thank you for that

I can’t get into the housing portal or registration thing, but the financial aid FAST message is there tho. Im starting to fear the worst
@goldeneagle220 Dont worry, the housing thing means absolutely nothing. I was able to register with a number I made up. you may have just done it wrong.

I had 63 credits. I am also pretty sure all of my GEs that were required were completed.
My Spring grades came out on Friday. I have not gotten any SGR yet, but I just uploaded my new unofficial transcript (including my Spring grades) to the portal. I will also email a copy to my USC counselor tomorrow.
If your spring grades came out and went well, I encourage you guys to upload the new unofficial transcript regardless of getting an SGR or not because I think this will help USC to make the decision faster.
Simply waiting for USC to ask for your SGR takes too long unless you are confident that you are the lucky ones who can get in without SGR very soon.
@transferusc88 lmao you don’t need to believe me but transfer decisions are getting harder and harder every year, even for TTP. I received a 4.0 both quarters and am ttp and I still haven’t even gotten an SGR or a decision. I also didn’t say that the girl that was rejected did everything she was supposed to be doing maybe she did not do her prereqs or whatever.
@candylover132 I believe you! I was just meaning it seems they may have left out some information when telling you. Not that you were lying. It just seems odd to me that happened. Maybe she missed a course requirement for admission? Who knows. But hoping the best for you and everyone else out there!
@sagaciousforever Completely agree with what you just mentioned. If anyone has their Spring grades already, upload them to the portal ASAP with or without an SGR requested. Definitely will help in regards to them getting back to you quicker, and it also shows initiative on your end. I also would say send them a copy of your official transcript as well, and let the counselor know you will be sending it because they’re going to want to see an official one. Wish that I was done, but I got another month to go for Spring. Best of luck to you!
