@PokeBear Depending on majors and the location that you prefer.
UCLA is good at social science such as sociology and psychology. UCLA’s business economics/economics is also top-notch.
UCB is good at computer science and business.
UCSD is good at pure science such as physics, chemistry, and biology.
The next thing that you should consider is the location. If you find yourself difficult in choosing between two schools, I would pick the school that is closer to your house.
When does Biology or biochemistry (Dornslife) decision usually come out? Btw congrats to everyone who got accepted!!

Holy moly I just got accepted too! incoming soph Dornsife Econ major here accepted for Fall 2019. I’m gonna post my stats in the stats thread but for now I wanna say thank you in everyone on here for being on this journey together! Fight on yall!

NOTE: I wrote in my essays that I was actually going for a different major than the one selected so I would honestly say essays were like 7/10, and that’s generous.

For Dornsife, do waves come out randomly or by major/discipline?
My son got his acceptance by portal today at 5 pm. Business Admin, junior transfer from CC. He’ll post his stats later. He had to run to his night class.

Feel like people who got accepted today are all with higher GPAs
My son has a 4.0 and he didn’t hear today.

@tommy9998 It’s rolling. Decisions could come out anytime.
USC doesn’t post all decisions at once. It would be nice if they do because rolling=long waiting for some applicants.
@GotYa55 I mean I’m a rising junior and heard nothing so it could just be a select few I don’t know
Also, I haven’t been keeping up with this thread lately but is a SGR a goodish sign for a sophomore applicant? I was looking around and apparently most sophomores receives them? I would assume it’s good because if they weren’t interested then shouldn’t they just reject me on the spot?

I dony’t think so. I have over 60 units as biology major (upcoming junior) and did not receive anything. It’s a rolling basis of decisions, so don’t worry too much if you didn’t get a decision today 
@GotYa55 Some sophomores on this thread have been accepted. It seems the decisions come out based on school, not GPA or credits or grade.

You will see the portal has a clickable link “status update”. Once you link it, it will direct you to the decision page. The admits’ page will show: Congratulations! I am please to offer you…
