Hey! I’m considering international school as well. How did you find out if your course work is valid for American universities?
well… I got an SGR. rip
If I get a 4.0 for spring, is it pretty much guaranteed that I get in? Like what else could they want?
@Trashception When did you get it?
@Trashception No, it only means that they want to see more grades from you. However, if you are exactly the “fit” or the person that they want, they will accept you right away.
An SGR is good because at least they did not reject you.
For people who are still waiting, we may have a risk of getting a rejection.
The following is just my opinion and I have no proof but I think: “At least most people who got an SGR were later accepted.”
Hey everyone! Congratulations to all who were accepted - such an incredible accomplishment.
Does anyone here happen to know when Roski admissions decisions typically come out? I applied as a junior. It seems that school has not been mentioned anywhere on this thread.
@sagaciousforever I just got the email today, around 5pm. If I get a 4.0 and they reject me I’ll be so confused. If I get the perfect grades they want to see and they reject me then they should have just rejected me now lol. idk its weird
@Trashception Why is it weird? USC considers the holistic view of an applicant.
A 4.0 is indeed impressive, but it is not everything. There are plenty 4.0 applicants got rejected by USC in freshman (more 4.0s got rejected) and transfer admissions every year.
Grades do not define you. Instead, it is you that defines you. USC just wants to make sure that you reach certain academic bar and then everything else is not about grades.
Hey everyone, I’ve uploaded my stats on the decision thread
@sagaciousforever yes yes I agree, I’m more saying I would be surprised if they asked for my spring grades, killed it in the spring, and then they still reject me.
@transfer4maria Congrats! I saw your stats and realized that you did not complete the first writing class.
I am a rising junior Marshall applicant and did not complete the writing class as well. Pepperdine (my current school) offers the equivalent english class to USC’s first english but you need to make special request for that class and it’s very hard to get. I ended up not taking it.
I contacted my USC counselor and he affirmed me that it’s okay to take it at USC. Hopefully, I will hear some good news soon!
@Trashception At this point, I cannot guarantee you anything.
But I am guessing (personal opinion, so believe it or not) the chance of earning very high spring grades and still gets rejected is rare.
Best of luck.
I also put my full stats on the decisions thread. Check it out! To everyone else who got their decision today, post your stats there!
@sagaciousforever wishing you the best!
my friend just got an email at 5:21 for the status update. Marshall non- TTP, CCC, GPA 4.0 ( junior transfer) and didn’t get a SGR
Accepted to Dornsife as a non-TTP (I am a junior transfer). I did not receive an email prior to checking my portal. The email came in about 30 minutes later!
Oops! Sorry did not mean to re-post. I didn’t realize that my initial comment was posted.
Didn’t get anything yet. I hope my admissions process doesn’t turn out like UCI lol.
Oh hey @vegastransfer I just realized you got in when I saw you posted your stats, I must have missed your original post as things were flying pretty quick there for awhile. Congrats - I bet that was the best bus ride ever!
Have yet to hear back, but has anybody else applied to the Architecture school? I haven’t seen anybody on here that applied to the Architecture school. I currently got to Parsons School of Design in NYC and I’m just hoping that gives me a good chance of getting in. Crossed fingers!!
What are my chances of getting in?
