2019-2020 USC Transfer

@usc21transfer what were your stats? How many units did you take and were you a freshmen sophomore or a junior? And how many A’s in a row did you get?

@Brendyb10 did you get a SGR? what’s your gpa also?

@transferusc88 best of luck for you as well! We’ll get through this! Hopefully and it’s worth it ???

International Relations, Dornsife. First year currently. Completed 21 units and will have completed 36 at the end of the year.

@USCAAA
No SGR
Gpa so far: 3.85
But my spring gpa is so far a 4.0

@wmukayed if you don’t mind answering, what are your stats? I applied IR and I’m currently a first year as well

seems like no one is gonna get accepted today

Ugh, nothing yet for me guys. I’m gonna try to just focus on my schoolwork and check back with you guys when I get my decision or on May 22nd when I’ll finish school.

Goodbye for now…

Do you guys think who hasn’t gotten SGR and has good stats you think we have a good shot of getting in?

I’m feeling another big wave coming tomorrow for you all! Fight on, everyone! Hoping to see more acceptances before this week is over. :smiley:

@USCAAA yeah I mean I hope so, I think the people at admissions are still determining who they want SGR from

@USCAAA
I think so. Like @CADREAMIN said no SGR could be good news. Specially if you have good stats and your common app is on point.

GUYS I JUST REALIZED A PROBLEM IN MY APP. Ok here it goes…
I’m applying as a Global Business Major. They said in their prereqs they want you to complete an equivalent of Math 125: Fundamentals of Calculus. I have completed Calculus 1 with an A. I just checked the articulation agreement and their Math 125 translates to Business Calc. Is my Calc 1 good enough to use in place for that or will they not accept that? I know for their general Marshall School of Business program they don’t care what kind of business you take… IM FREAKING OUT GUYS!!

@USCAAA
However, even though I’m trying to maintain a positive and optimistic mindset, you don’t know until you know…?

@Brendyb10 I totally agree it can be a good thing no SGR. Try I stay optimistic and trust your grades and your application. Like me I’m a Marshall applicant and I’m taking business calc rn and I have 4 W’s but I have gotten 18 A’s in a row from a cumulative 2.8 gpa I have bumped it to a 3.82 and maxed out most of my GE’s. I will have 80 credits done after this semester and I’m aiming for another 4.0 semester. So like in my position idk what’s going to happen it’s going to be interesting. I also got 4 letter of recommendation and I work 40 hours a week taking care of my parents business’s. We all just have to stay optimistic guys.

@bksyazd I think you should be fine because Calc 1 is a higher level of math.

did anyone who get in this yesterday receive an SGR/WGR prior to getting the acceptance?

@USCAAA
That’s very impressive!! Congrats! I’m sure they will understand your situation and recognize your outstanding improvement! Remember, USC is very holistic and flexible. They also like to see people’s improvement. To me it shows that we don’t give up and persist academically.

@rish68 Not me. I’m on a semester system, so no WGR. Never received an SGR. I had all of my major pre-reqs completed by last semester, so that helped.

@Brendyb10 I hope bendy I know they like upward trends and I have done it 5 semesters in a row. But idk what’s going to happen what do you think? I’m just focusing on this semester trying to make it 20 A’s in a row but I’m just really worried.
