25% average admit rate, last year they admitted around 130-140 students
@surefineitsok Thanks for the info, do u know when he found out? and was he ttp?
@CSE111 25% for engineering?
@CSE111 As for my friend, he wasn’t TTP. I’m not sure about the person who was in my class though
@hkiiim on Viterbi’s website it’s mentioned that their admission rate is same as average for the university which for transfer is around 25%
So…no one for Annenberg yet huh. They really drawing this out. This is terrible. I’m an international student and I need to book my round trip flights home. The longer i wait the more expensive it’s going to be -_- Man I forgot how hard the waiting game is. I was waitlisted for UCLA as a freshman but thankfully I was first wave so no wait. But this…come on
Annenberg usually takes longer. From what I’ve seen, people who applied for Annenberg usually get into their 2nd choice major and Annenberg has its own process of selecting students.
Still waiting on annenberg. I think we will hear back on May 31st tbh . It’s already the end you know
NOTHING again ):
@scatransfer I’m not expecting anything today, lol. Possibly Friday but who knows.
Nothing still… from annenberg.
Just think, all good things in life take time . ?♀️?♀️ . If that helps lol .
@FemmeFilmFatale Oh, hmm, it looks like the CalGrant didn’t have any negative impact on me. When it was gone, my university grant did go up. So I just suppose your university grant could potentially be higher if you didn’t have a CalGrant, but that financial aid calculator tool will pretty much offer you the best idea about what you should expect.
I thought USC liked the 23rd, so I was really expecting something for you guys today =\
Nothing as usual. Junior Marshall applicant from Pepperdine with a 3.77 GPA.
Great essays, two recommendation letters( Good impression from office hours and weekly discussion- I stayed after class every week to ask questions and get to know my professors better) , and an upward trend (3.9+ for both Fall and Spring semester of my sophomore year), so I don’t know what they are waiting for. I also finished Business Calculus (Marshall’s prereq in my freshman year and got an “A”.
My classes are more challenging and are closer to USC’s level. I am not sure why they have already accepted so many good GPA Marshall CC students but I am still waiting.
No SGR, No Decision. The waiting just gets longer and longer.
Maybe it’s really rolling admission that they are still reviewing my application and it’s not because I am not “the most favorable” so they put my application aside for later review?
@CSE111 I went to a Viterbi transfer event several months ago, and they said you shouldn’t expect to hear back before the 31st.
(I applied for Dornsife, haven’t heard back yet)
@zettasyntax On another note, my friend got into Spring last year and he heard back in early July without getting an SGR. He had a 3.9 GPA when he applied, and he is also from Pepperdine.
So maybe USC takes longer to review transfer applicants from a 4-year university, especially if it’s located in California?
But we are not admission officer, so we never know unless someone will work in admission office in the future. Even that’s the case, I bet that he/she cannot easily spread the truth on internet.
I just got SGR’d as a USC SCA ext transfer student please check emails to see if youve been SGRd
@sagaciousforever I mean i’m from a CC and still haven’t heard and I’m a rising junior. I’m assuming it depends on the school you’re applying into and just how long they take. I’m thinking Annenberg releases them all at the same time and not in pockets like Marshall. I could be wrong though. Hopefully we’ll hear tomorrow.
@Sana415 Thanks for the info. At least that means something is happening. Nothing on my end still though. Annenberg rising junior.
@Sana415 Oof, I wasn’t going to check my portal today but thanks for the info! I didn’t get one. I think you’re the first SCA person here to get SGR’d.
