Is the SIR date June 1 for UCs?
@transferusc88 You still have a week though. Take your time. Even if you hear back from USC after June 1st, you will only waste the SIR if you get into USC and want to attend there.
I believe wasting the SIR is worth it for a possible better outcome.

@transferusc88 Do it. You might find out from USC after the SIR deadline. Which sucks. Ugh. @sagaciousforever I understand but you might want to reconsider this. The SIR deadline is approaching really quickly.
While I certainly get why it’s annoying (I’m annoyed), we need to keep in mind that June 1 was the deadline and we still have 7 days until then. Don’t rush to SIR somewhere out of annoyance, it’s not worth the money to waste imo.
@sagaciousforever You’re right. I’ve been planning on waiting until the 31st anyway but I just have gotten to a point where I’m starting to get frustrated because I have to find housing for UCSB. The longer I’ve been waiting for USC, the more I’m starting to think I won’t get in.
I’m gonna wait though. You’re totally right.
@HeyItsNick I wouldn’t say it’s not worth the money. USC isn’t cheap. Even with FA it’s still EXTREMELY expensive. If COA is not something you’re concerned about then I guess you don’t have to worry. And there’s no guarantee that you’ll find out before the deadline.

Today is probably the fourth wave of acceptances, so it definitely adds the anxiety.

Thanks. As I mentioned earlier, but may have got buried, those hearing from today on are unlikely to get their FA info before the UC commit date. Could come Friday next week, but the holiday may slow it more than the usual week it takes. So just keep in mind if you need that info to make a decision, you may have to SIR to a UC to cover the gap in time till you have all the data you need.
If you are all in USC regardless, then that’s easy, gotta just hang on.
I’m losing faith in Viterbi. There’s a really good chance they even miss the 31st deadline.
@Jiminlovee It’s gonna take a while. Someone talked to the FA office and they said “4-5 business days” but for a lot of applicants it took a week. Your best bet is to submit a SIR until you get your FA updated. Congratulations on your acceptance! Fight on!

That’s it. I’m gonna SIR to UCLA if nothing comes up by 6pm. This feeling of uncertainty is really getting on my nerve
