2019-2020 USC Transfer

has anyone here not received their acceptance package yet??? I was accepted on May 17th and I still have not received my package.

@okurrr They will be sending them all at the same time. Someone called admissions and they said that we should all receive them by next week!

@okurrr someone called admissions and they said that they are going to send all the acceptance packages at the same time; to not expect the package anytime soon…

@sagaciousforever @Becausethety I wonder why my apple email app didn’t notify me I got mentioned by you guys lol.

My second choice is Economics (Dornsife). I mean if I get into my second choice major then I will definitely declare a double major and add business admin as my second major in spring 2020 if I get into USC. They see my transcripts showing that I received several A’s this semester which include Calc 2 and like 8 A’s I received last semester which includes Calc 1 so I hope they admit me because if they do I swear to god I will take advantage of the resources there for sure!

Omg if I get in I could probably take some law classes and eventually get recommendations from them for law school! I will definitely apply for USC Gould School Of Law (Ranked #17 in best law schools by USNews). Imagine how awesome my application process would be. I’m just nerding out just thinking about it haha!

It’s midnight and no rejection for me. Don’t know if I should be happy or disappointed that I have to wait all day for a decision.

@zettasyntax Hey man just wanted to let ya know that it’s past midnight and I didn’t receive any update on my student portal :confused:

Sweet Dreams, I’ll let you know what happens tomorrow!

Nothing for me

Nothing on my portal, I’m going to sleep but I’ll check early in the morning.

@Brendyb10 can you tag me when you post an update

@Becausethety I will :smile:

Good luck everyone, goodnight.

@everyone Everyone who is a marshall applicant, please tag me when you get your decision and post in on this forum!

@GoodAfternoonSir I will for sure. Please tag me as well

^^^ Absolutely!

@mase31 ik it is normal but if I get sgr rn it does mean I will not hear the decision for tomorrow right? I though 31 may is the last day

@RyanLam It is unless they requested a SGR. You will not be getting a decision tomorrow. The SGR counts as a “decision.” You’ll find out if you are admitted or not later on. I hope this helps!

Will USC only consider those who committed for their transfer merit scholarships?

@RyanLam Yeah, like people have said, the SGR counts as some form of decision by May 31st. I received my SGR way back on April 23, 2014. My semester didn’t finish until June 6th. I sent my grades as soon as they were available and heard back in about 2-3 weeks. We’re seeing some insane turnaround this year though. I read at least one person mention that they heard back the same day they sent in their springs grades; that’s wild.

Whew, I guess no news is good news. I’m not used to these portal only decisions, haha. I guess if they’re holding the admit packages hostage, it makes sense that nobody is being notified in that manner. Let’s see what happens. I’m hoping for more good news than bad news today.

Who is ready to see some Acceptances today!!!

@caman97 Hopefully

@zettasyntax hi! i’ve been going through this thread for a while and remembered that you said that you transferred with ~100 units from a CC a while back (correct me if i’m wrong!). i was wondering if you knew whether or not the gpa that is used by USC admissions is the one calculated with all of the units you’ve ever taken, as in the gpa after the ~100 units, or if it is based only on the 64 transferable units that they take. thanks in advance!
