2019-2020 USC Transfer

Seems like Marshall is coming in first??

still waiting on SCA. anybody else?

No update for me yet (Dornsife)

Dear xxx,

Congratulations! You are among a very select group of students who have been admitted to USC for the spring semester of 2020. This offer is being extended to you as a result of your outstanding achievements – both in and out of the classroom – for all the late nights and weekends you devoted to study, and the times you went beyond what was expected of you.

I presume that when you applied, you intended to begin your studies here this fall, so please read on and let me explain this opportunity. Spring admission is USC’s way of managing the size of the entering class. Some institutions do this by asking students to remain an uncertain, wait-list status; we instead offer select students the opportunity to begin their USC studies in January – just one fifteen-week semester later –when we can typically accommodate more students. After the May 1 National Candidates Reply Date, if we find we have room in the fall class, we may invite some students who accepted the spring offer to enroll in the fall class.

It might seem odd to begin at USC in January, but to us it is a matter of routine; spring admission to USC has been a popular and successful program for more than 20 years. Hundreds of new undergraduates begin in spring, become fully engaged members of our student body, and then go onto graduate with their class. Please review the enclosed materials to see answers to common questions. You will read about topics such as making plans for the fall, our Winter Orientation program and housing application procedures. If you have applied for financial aid, you will receive additional information shortly.

The USC faculty are eager for you to join us. They look forward to collaborating with ambitious, determined young people who are willing to apply their intellect and curiosity in the relentless pursuit of truth. We can see that you are such a person, which is why we chose you among a pool of 66,000 students from around the world, while turning away nearly 90% of applicants.

To accept this offer, simply log in to admission.usc.edu/status and submit your Spring 2020 Intent to Enroll. Students should submit their Intent to Enroll by August 1 or within two weeks of receiving your offer of admission, whichever is later.

You and your family should be proud of your admission to USC. We look forward to welcoming you as one of the newest members of the Trojan Family.

Sincerely,

@jakecap1123 There’s a few of us here, good luck!!

@sagaciousforever so what happened

Usually Marshall and Dornslife are first. Then the smaller schools trickle out slowly. But who knows?

I don’t think everyone would get the decision today. In my case, they don’t ask for my spring grade, but my OFFICIAL transcript even though I haven’t been admitted yet…WEIRD

TAG ME IF YOU ARE A VITERBI APPLICANT

did you guys receive an email that your portal updated or did you just check it and it was there?

@woshua Got into Spring! Marshall applicant here.

@jakecap1123 same here

Wait people are getting accepted for spring semester not fall?

@sagaciousforever congrats, I barely saw ur post lol

SCA HEREEEE

@chlotaylor Seems like it. USC doesn’t have a waitlist option. Spring or Fall admittance isn’t an indicator of your strength as an applicant. They just don’t have the room for you just yet!

Woah! Only spring admits so far??? This seems really odd. Tell me someone got in for fall?

@sagaciousforever Congratulations on being admitted!! Are you considering it or do you plan to attend elsewhere since you got in for spring?

Lmao I’m Marshall didn’t get anything. Guess I’m rejected

That’s kinda weird?

who cares if you are admitted for fall or spring. the thing is that you are admitted
