@sostressed201 Did you get the SGR on portal or there is an email notification?
If it’s just on the portal, where did you find it?

@ard0815 Congrats on UCB! Did you get the SGR on portal or there is an email notification?
If it’s just on the portal, where did you find it?
Thank you! I got an email and then I checked my portal and the checklist is still there but has my final transcript as missing.
Wow, so big wave for Dornsife/Marshall this week, avengers end game, and game of thrones?? This gonna be a crazy week.
email and portal @sagaciousforever
but I’m not sure if it is a good or bad sign lol
People that received an SGR did you guys send your official transcript before that?
Just got an SRG today around 5 pm. What are the chances of getting admitted with the SRG request? When I might hear the final decision?
Non TTP, applying as sophomore, about 20 credits finished, prerequisites all completed, 14 credits in progress GPA when applying 3.8, current classes for spring as of now has A on all of them.
Attending CC in California.
any SCA people here back yet??? I am almost done with my sophomore year at my CC and would love to know before finals so I don’t have to stress during finals week as well.
@sostressed201 SGR is good sigh. It means that USC is considering you and wants to see more grades (usually they want to see a consistent trend to see if you can maintain the high level of academic performance). If USC is confident to accept/reject you, they would just straight accept or reject you. There is no need for an SGR.
However, getting an SGR is not the best case because the best case is getting admitted without an SGR. SGR means more waiting.
@sagaciousforever okay thank you I had no idea that is really helpful to know
Also, I think (it’s just my personal opinion in case of being judged) sophomore are more likely to get an SGR than junior because rising sophomores only have one semester of college coursework to show USC their college readiness. That’s why even 3.9-4.0 people may still get an SGR.
A lot of rising junior also get SGR, but certainly fewer than sophomore applicants.
@sostressed201 No worries! Glad that I could help.
I understand your feelings, as I am anxiously waiting for admission decision as well. Marshall junior applicant here and no SGR/decision yet.
USC is my top choice and Emory is my second choice now. I got rejected by UCB and UCLA may be a reject as well.
@blueskies2day Um, I never said anything about spring admits… all I said was that the average accepted GPA for transfer students was a 3.7 (more specifically, last year) which can be found on the website. I’m confused how I was brought into this debate lol.
@sagaciousforever I also never asked a question. I think there is a mistake on who actually asked the question lol xD
So back to my question people who get an SGR request did you guys send out your official transcripts?
Kinda worried that I didn’t get an SGR as a rising sophomore non-TTP. Had a 3.8 first sem (1 B in Gen Chem) as a Political Science major at a ranked 4yr institution and have straight As (hopefully) this semester that I’d like to show before they make a final decision. My counselor did tell me that they waived my writing requirement given the institution I am attending and I am currently in a writing class she said she’s seen very few applicants from my school take due to the credit requirements so I hope that adds some rigor-would think they’d want to see that grade if I was still being considered
@UniCoIn for winter semester yes, and it was processed well before the deadline, but I am not sending any sort of spring one until I have my official in early June
No I was asking did they send you an sgr even if you submitted your official transcripts?
@SophTransfer2019 SGR doesn’t have to come in April. It could come in May.
Don’t worry about not getting an SGR. It has nothing to do with how strong you are in terms of when you receive an SGR. Getting it in May is the same as getting it in April.
On the good note, you might be get an acceptance without SGR. I am guessing that there will be a big wave coming this month. (probably by mid to end of this week).
Hoping that we see the first big wave of decisions this week! Still won’t worry until it’s the end of May, but it’d be nice to find out earlier than expected.
