2019 College Football Has Begun!

It was 87 degrees in Palo Alto. Considered hot there. My D laughed as she played a soccer game on Friday when the temp was 105. Visiting Phoenix for a soccer tourney this time of year - not that smart.

@privatebanker We were so disappointed our cable search came up with plenty of football games but no Boston College. Glad they won, hope the stands were crowded!

I’m laughing because I worked out in non-air conditioned gym this PM for 2 hours today in the same general vicinity as the Stanford stadium. Suck it up buttercup! ?

Hook 'em!

It’s Roll Tide season

Oregon blew it against Auburn. Oregon got out-coached in the 4th quarter. More embarrassment for the Pac-12.

The UW - Eastern Washington game was painful to watch… so lopsided. But it was a beautiful, warm day. There were gazillions of boats parked by the stadium!

That Iowa wave is cool!

87 is hot, even with low humidity. I wouldn’t pay sit around for any football (or other sport) game in that heat and sun. Stadium bowls likely increase the heat as well. Yet another reason I didn’t bother to go to Wisconsin’s game-practice in Tampa (plus the delay for the usual summer storm passing through).

I was at the Stanford/Northwestern game. Hottest game I’ve ever attended. Temp was 87, but felt much warmer. Sitting down on those stadium seats…OUCH! They were burning hot. Hung on as long as we could, but bailed to the mezzanine/shade in the middle of 3rd. Friend commented that it looked like a trauma zone outside of game, people were sprawled/laying on ground everywhere. Those poor players on the field – gotta believe some had heat stroke. Appeared that NW had just as many fans as Stanford…

I have to remember to never give up on Auburn.

@GRITS80 Alabama alum but half of family graduated from Auburn. They were confident Nix would settle in and he did. Nice win.

Go Tigers!

Walked in and saw the final interception of the Michigan game - saw the best play so good enough for me!

Maryland (unranked) crushed Syracuse (ranked 21) earlier today.
Go Terps!

Princeton does not play until the 21st (versus Butler).

Fort Hays State and Grambling State lost this week.

Memphis won this week.

RIT does not have football.

Great games today! Yay Clemson!

Army was sooooo close to beating Michigan in the Big House.
Nebraska gave up 24 points in the 4th quarter to lose close one to Colorado.
Very entertaining LSU- Texas game…wish Texas would have won.
Hoping Stanford can stay on top of USC…and that Cal-Washington gets off their
weather delay.

Getting off the couch tomorrow…

I was disappointed that Texas lost, but it was a good game! And the Coke ad shown during the game was filmed at my high school, the one that Texas QB Sam Ehlinger (as well as Drew Brees and Nick Foles) also attended.

No game but good god… holy lightning!!! ?

jeez, @BunsenBurner …just how bad is that storm? The Cal game is still delayed…going on two hours now…

Funny… I am visiting folks in CA (not too far from Berkeley), but my friends north of Seattle just kept texting me that there were bolts of lightning every 5 minutes for what looked like eternity!.. it is pretty bad out there! We rarely get thunderstorms in PNW.
