I don’t see why PSU has to cut down on campuses.
Are people trying to say that no branch campuses should ever be open enrollment and must be selective to some degree?
How about HYPSM? Cal, UCLA, Michigan? 
@PurpleTitan their endowment is 730 million. 2017 they covered the 3.8 million and contributions are very healthy. Very low debt at around 190 million while total assets 1 billion. They need to adjust though for the drop in enrollment and past experience this could continue for a bit more.
My DS and I attending a new student advising day at Lebanon Valley this week. During the program, it was communicated that the incoming freshmen class will be the largest ever at the school. Yet, LVC is on the NACAC list. I’m not concerned, but I have reached out to the dean of admissions for clarification.

Should I be surprised to see UK on this list? For OOS’ers, yoiu get free tution for a 3.5 and a 31/1,420 or get an addtional $10,000 for housing if you have a 3.8 and a 33/1,490. Not too shabby.
@sushiritto Those scholarships are competitive, not automatic, and require applications be complete by December 1. “Financial aid available” might mean Pell Grants and Federal student loans only.
