@mlplover69 I didn’t receive an SGR but my thoughts are that mostly everyone will receive a decision by May 31 (or May 29 as many on here are thinking). There will always be a few outliers that may receive an SGR on May 29/31 and not get a decision until June-July though. As some on here are saying, decisions after an SGR submission can be either immediate or take weeks, I’m just hoping that 95% of us will have a decision (or SGR) by May 31. I made sure to submit my spring grades this past week since that way I can ensure I won’t receive an SGR between now and May 31, and instead am guaranteed a decision by said date. Purely just my thoughts, but I hope I’m slightly correct in my assumptions lol because I would hate to see people waiting until July to receive a decision.
@beachygirl28 also what instagram page were you looking at that referred to them still going through transfer apps? I can’t seem to find it on their main instagram but maybe I’m just looking at the wrong one
Their official undergraduate insta page is just uscadmission
@mlplover69 I received a SGR last year around this time. I received my rejection on the last day with everyone else.
@NavyGuy2019 Last day as May 31st or outliers in July ?
@millerman63 Last day as May 31st. It was essentially a 10 day turn around.
@mill213 its their latest post. They used a pic of their marching band i believe
Ancient history here (2014), but the first time I applied, I got my SGR on April 23rd and didn’t hear back until June 27th. My spring semester ended rather late though (June 9th?), so there was about a two week wait between the time I submitted grades and the time I got my decision.
I have such a bad habit of getting excited every weekday at 5 pm to check my email lol.
Last year I heard on July 12 because I had a SGR
On the USCadmission instagram page: “Transfer applicants: We are still reviewing applications. You will receive either a request for spring grades or an admission decision by May 31. If you receive a spring grade request, you may not receive a decision until after May 31. If your spring term has ended, you can upload an unofficial copy of your spring grades to your applicant portal.”
Be honest, it’s kind of slow. Marshall-nothing 5.19.
Just got in for Dornsife! My major is Human Bio.
Let’s distract each other to make the wait more bearable. What’s everyone’s backup choice if you don’t get into USC and do you know if the fall semester will be in-person? Mine is UW-Madison I am super excited that they are having the fall semester on campus!
@Eric392014 lol its always like this so I’m not stressing, especially when I have a good backup
@anervouswreck I applied to Annenberg (journalism) as a non-TTP rising sophomore, and I got a SGR last week.
@BBoy99 hey! do you mind sharing info on your GPA and courses you’ve taken? I also applied to Dornsife, but just as a biology major maybe that means the rest of us will start hearing soon
if usc says that they send decisions right away, why is it that all the rejections come in on the last day?
@nyeoominheelys For sure!
