2020-2021 USC Transfer

@grapesoda2 was ur withdrawal gone too?

@bruh12345 yes

I GOT IN! I was offered spring admission but I did not expect this

I’m not totally shocked and I’d much rather be rejected now than in a week or two, but I’m still very dissapointed and sad.

I’m assuming the withdraw being gone just means you are getting an update that could be acceptance or rejection.
Sorry to hear about your rejections guys! I hope you guys got into other wonderful schools!

Darn, I’m so sorry about the rejections. I wasn’t anticipating them to happen until the very end :disappointed: I’ve been there. I had nowhere else to go though, so I tried again the next year and had better luck.

What do spring admits usually do in the fall??? I’m deciding between U-M and USC lol

@historylover5 not really it was pretty much the best school i had applied for

I didn’t get an email. Also, I think all deposit waivers are being granted because mine was immediately granted.

@franktrans12345, that’s fairly petty and vindictive of you because I said a couple of people may have been joking around about it 40 minutes before everyone else heard anything at all on here.

@yjliu Usually they take CC classes to try and complete some more GEs or say the foreign language requirement if it applies. I had all of my possible GEs done though and needed a semester of Spanish to finish my language requirement, but I wanted to see what taking a Spanish course at USC was like. I did nothing but bum around in the fall. I tried to look for work to keep busy, but my only offer came in just as I was staring my spring semester, so I really did nothing =\

@user_423289 how do you get deposit waiver?

For those of you getting declined admission, please know this does not define your worth, value, or dignity. Just by the fact you all had the ambition to apply to USC says more about your character than any decision letter could ever reveal. Also I’m not saying this because I got in lol I haven’t heard yet - I’ve just been denied more opportunities than I can remember and I know how horrible it makes you feel. Heads up

any viterbi decisions today ?

rejected… that one stings

Out of curiosity for those who were accepted, did you already finish your language requirement?

@“UCLA22CogSci/LINGCS” So sorry about your rejection. I recommend you to appeal since it’s better than doing nothing. I cannot imagine that USC would reject a UCLA transfer with a decent GPA.

I applied last year and so I know another person from UCLA also did not get admitted to USC. I don’t know why it is so hard to transfer from UCLA to USC. To be honest, UCLA has always been my dream school in California, so you are fine even if you stay. There is no need to worry! You have the potential to succeed wherever you go to school.

Rejected after being admitted with a Presidential Scholarship last year. Lol, I guess they didn’t want me again.

I just got in! So excited after I got rejected from almost every other school I applied for!
