2020 Fall Transfer Stanford

Congratulations to everyone who got in. What an honor and testament to all that you’ve worked hard for. Please make us proud, so that Stanford will continue to increase its acceptance of Transfers. I am hoping to get in next year and would love any feedback, advice you have on essay writing and daily life on campus. Thank you all for sharing yourselves on here as it makes it feel that much more possible for the rest of us. Much success to you all and may we one day meet on campus!

Hello, I was just accepted to Stanford (as a transfer) from the wait list…is there anyway I can join the group chat?

Hi vika11, congratulations!!! I just sent a message in the group, so someone’s going to find a way to add you! (I had trouble getting on when I first tried.)

Hello Jason, nice to meet you. I read your previous posts, and your experience is very impressive. I also got waitlisted as a transfer applicant in 2024. I’m 30 years old and got a severe disease before, then I went back to community college 2 years ago in CA.

Now they do not accept any additional material other than " * Telling us new information, like an award that you received after submitting your application * Providing a correction to your information, like updating hours per week of an activity".

I have more details about what I did at my last job 5 years ago that’s not in the application. However, They have specific instructions: “We do not accept supplementary materials like resumes, writing samples, research papers, abstracts, articles, computer programs, or other special work.”

Should I update more about that? Thank you so much!

Hey, I just saw this, I recommend updating with new information – things that are reasonably new since you applied. Its about giving everyone an equal opportunity in the initial application process. Did you get in anywhere else? Have you acceptted your wait list spot yet?

Will do. Thank you!
I accepted the waitlist on the first day lol.
Got into Cal. Still waiting for Columbia.
