OOS honors courses are noted by admission readers. They just aren’t used when calculating the UC GPAs

Do they count APs that are one semester like MicroEcon adn MacroEco which are not” yearlong” as .5? And DE college courses that are only one quarter or semester? Thanks!
All these tables and admission rates are misleading. Look at the UC admissions based on the source school web site. Only about 1/3 of the students in my daughter’s high school got admitted to Davis in 2023 with the average UC GPA of 4.25, which means one B (with a tone of AP/honors classes). UCSB,UCI,UCSD,UCB,UCLA are of course more competitive, and even the UCSC average UC GPA was 4.14 (~4 Bs). So does anyone know what are the true admission rates for those, who do not fall into the low-income, first in family, and underrepresented minority categories, for which, as UC announces, majority of the seats are reserved? UC also claims it has increased more CA residents relative to the out-of-state students, but the changes are minuscule, and UCI,UCSB,UCD,UCSD,UCSC,UCR still have a much higher admit rates for out-of-state students than for the CA applicants. State schools in other states have higher admit rates for instate students. The bottom line is that admit rates for middle-class Californians are much lower than whatever tables are quoted in this conversation.
Race is not a factor in UC admissions.
GPA is only one area of criteria used by the UC’s in their application review and the data posted is informational only, not an absolute since the UC’s review applicants using their Comprehensive/Holistic process. All 13 areas of the UC application review criteria are considered.
I will post the same disclaimer that the UC’s post on their website:
Please be cautious in drawing conclusions from this information. The numbers are useful only as a general guide to selectivity and not as a predictor of your chances for admission to a particular campus**
