<p>I believe that VMI and Davidson are the 2 smallest schools in Division 1. Holy Cross is significantly larger (although certainly still a small liberal arts school), so this makes the % even more interesting. It shows Holy Cross to be an athletic place that offers opportunities to would be scholar athletes.</p>
<p>(If you want to see really high percentages of athletes to general population, check out some of the NESCAC Div III schools. They are up around 30%).</p>
