3 Days in DC

Which three days exactly? If you like cheap, strange theater, you might enjoy taking in part of the Capitol Fringe Festival [CAPITAL FRINGE](http://www.capfringe.org/) that runs for the last two weeks of July. Many performances are near the Convention Center and Chinatown/Gallery Place metro stops, but there are others all over town.

Like theater, but not sure about fringe-y stuff? Look here for half price tickets: [DC’s Source for Theatre, Performing Arts, Museums & More - CultureCapital.com](http://culturecapital.com/)

For Metro and bus connections in the whole DC area see [Metro - Home page](http://wmata.com/) Cheaper than the Metrobuses, but with limited routes check out [Home | DC Circulator](http://www.dccirculator.com/) Happykid & pals pick that one up near Dupont Circle when they go to Georgetown for cupcakes.

Second the State Department tour, nice option to the White House tour.

Elevator ride up the Old Post Office pavilion building, 12th and Penn N.W. Still free for now as Trump is purchasing it for later development. Great view and option to the Washington Monument which is closed anyway while the earthquake damage is repaired.
