<p>Yea, I know people who got into UCs with only two years of foreign language. Besides, the foreign language requirement is on the chopping block right now due to budget cuts. So maybe they won’t even care about HS language requirments in the future. </p>
<p>Read the LA Times story that was in yesterday or the day before. They are planning to cut entire departments from the UCs and many are related to study of foreign culture and area studies.</p>
