I applied to Stanford, Princeton and Pomona. As far as the other Questbridge schools, I think they’re all excellent institutions but I just didn’t find out more about their diversity and research opportunities.

Bump…

“Spanish is considered white and is European.”

I think what Zella said is true because a couple people from my school last year were full spanish but had to claim european, not hispanic.

Spanish is white/Caucasian/European.

Good luck with the Questbridge thing. I think you should have tried for other schools, but being a Finalist I think proves that you are a competitive candidate, I would think so anyway. Good luck!

Anymore advice, feedback or tips?

what did #2 and #3 get for their SAT1s/2s?

I think that your art talent is a major plus. IMHO worth as much as a legacy at PSB. You have a definite shot at these places.

I think that your huge SAT increase and great grades may indicate that you just need to pick up the “knack” of taking the SAT I’s to score even higher. You might search this site for xiggi’s approach to studying for the SAT’s. The one down side is that you need actual practice tests from the college board - $20 or so for the book. Plus pay for taking the test again. :(

RiverFish:
Just to reiterate, the students ranked #2 & #3 in my highschool were bother admited into Stanford under ED. Both are the most affluent students in my school…and their stats are similar to mine…one student scored somewhere in the high 2200’s and number 3 (a legacy) scored a 2010 V:650, Math:660 W:700 on the SAT’s. Other than that my SATII’s are better and she was also the president of the class with several sports under her belt…

Hmm… well it would be kinda hard since you kinda lack the score and the legacy…

but apart from that the rest of your app looks great, so yeh, i reckon you could have a chance

it could go either way though : /
