so they send out the decisions via email 5 pm eastern time on march 31, am I correct?

forestforever: I think so!

man. march 31st is going to be a crazy day :/

Did you read the thread where they’re talking about how Harvard is accepting less students this year? What a downer!

oooh am so excited and nervous!!!
‘judgement day’ is gonna make me or break me

Come on guys. It isn’t the end of the world if you don’t get into Harvard…there are tons of other universities out there which would love to have you!

you know, tetrisfan…that’s what i keep reminding myself.
It doesn’t work too well though…lol

March 31st is the day after I get back from the beach for spring break… but until then I just want to enjoy my time out on the sun and not worry about it!! :P

I’m becoming more and more nervous as the D-day approaches…this month is and will pass by very slowly…Every time my phone rings, I feel my heart beating so fast, most unreasonably thinking that it might be an admissions officer calling to inform me of my acceptance. I know it’s stupid but I can’t help it lol

so what does the email look like? does anyone know?

yeah, do they put “you’re accepted” in the subject line if you get in? or maybe “your application decision”…that sounds more neutral

yea…that’s my question too.

I think I read in last year’s thread that they write “Your Harvard Admissions Decision” or something like that in the subject line of the e-mail, so you don’t know until you open it.

Yes, that’s right. Also be aware that not everyone gets their emails at exactly the same time—some come hours later, and its not always clear if it’s alphabetical, or according to when they recieved your app, or whether it’s a yes or no–depends on the university.

i heard some ppl say they put “Congratulations!” as the subject for accepted…but idk

I just wish they started emailing…

i think I can say that we are somewhat competitive. some of my desire to get into harvard is just to see if I can get in. increase self-esteem. or epic fail

It’s a 100% neutral subject line. Anyone who tells you otherwise hasn’t actually gotten one.

The subject line is: “Admissions Decision”

Great, that makes it even more exciting! Also, it makes it possible to pray and perform about 20 strange rituals that are supposed to bring luck before opening the e-mail.
