<p>Colby does not have a drinking problem any more than any other school in the country. The only reason there were so many citations in this instance was because it was an off campus party, and thus in the jurisdiction of the local police.</p>
<p>Honestly though, if campus security went around any school in the country (Colby included, but not exclusive) and sought out students who were drinking and wrote up citations, there would be hundreds of citations every weekend night. The fact of the matter is that people drink in college. Most do so responsibly and safely, and that’s what’s most important.</p>
