<p>Both of you guys are confused, considering you guys do not know what you are talking about. This is an L&S degree requirement, not a major requirement</p>
<p>The six UD unit rule means that you have at least 6 upper division units from classes outside their major department. I believe double majors are immune to this rule (I am a double major + minor, so my minor covers this rule for me)
E.g.: An MCB-CDB major who takes IB 131 and IB 132 for their MCB major meets the 6 UD unit requirement even though they are taking it for their major</p>
<p>Assuming this rule applies for you, this is what it means:
You need to have six upper division units from class NOT titled Physics 1## or Math 1##.</p>
