Does the admit rate go up even slightly for legacies? Someone told me it’s up by 1 or 2 percentage points.

Good luck to all of us out here hoping we’ll get in!

Holy schmokes!

I’m the luckiest person in the world.

I’m sorry, but I feel really impressive right now.

LOL I’m just kidding, I now it’s a crapshoot and I definitely got my share of rejections…but still, 8.6% is ridiculous.

kristin: so you have good news here, eh? Who denied you admission? (I’m trying to predict as d isn’t home yet, hasn’t looked, and I’m SOOOO curious). Deferred ED but admitted Cornell. Afraid to look, here.

Yeah, I did get in at Yale (woot!). However, I was waitlisted at Harvard, and with Stanford and Princeton still pending, I’m sure I’ll get at least one more rejection/waitlist.

RD was 5.8%, according to today’s YDN. Which means that the RD rate for undergrad admissions was nearly as low as the med school (4.8%) - only one percent higher. craziness!

Yeah…now I don’t feel so bad about being rejected.

what the @#^#$&@#($@(*#

lower than harvard, for those who care. unfreakingbelievable!

yeah, that med school stat really put the numbers in perspective. wow.
