<p>DS1’s physics teacher is in his mid-70s, and has the looks and energy of someone two decades younger. He is a huge favorite since he jumps off desks to prove points on physics and sets things on fire in thermodynamics. He is also a very wise man who has passed on some valuable life lessons to my son. The teacher’s attitude is “I know what it takes to get these kids engaged in learning, and I’ve been doing it for 40-something years, so if the administration doesn’t like it, they can take a hike!”</p>
<p>He tells the kids every day, “if you aren’t learning, you’re dying.” He’s well known for sitting at school events reading a physics text and expanding his knowledge. My DS adores him.</p>
