I agree. They are targeting the kids who get “some” help at the full cost of $70k+ schools but still pay more than $40k. That’s a lot of kids.
The hope (I assume) is to get more kids paying $40k so you can offset the fixed costs. It’s either that or the school goes away. When you lose 1/3rd of your enrollment in 3 years, you’re left with only dramatic choices.
COVID didn’t cause any of this…but it sure accelerated everything.
