A couple of High Definition TV questions

I remember reading from someone here that there was no HD cable at the school, which is probably why Filabusta said that. As for tuners and antennas, they’re two totally different things. Tuners convert the over-the-air signal, and you need a HDTV-specific tuner to watch OTA HDTV. Antennas are just the components that receive the OTA signal, and yes, any antenna can receive an HDTV signal.

Also, while HD signals can be transferred through coax, are you sure it was an HD signal (ie. did you see a difference)? Because HD tuners are often backward-compatible and can receive regular NTSC content as well.
