A day in DC this week or early next week-what to do?

USBG (at least in past years, I haven’t visited in a long time (long time by my standards, but I’m 15)) has its normal plants and exhibits (?), but large parts have Christmas/holiday themed decorations, exhibits, and activities. A few years ago, there were huge rooms filled with poinsettias.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the suggestions. I forgot about the Circulator. Maybe they will make it to Gtown.
We went to the Mormon Temple tonight, after going to Brookside Gardens. Great temp for walking around and seeing lights.

There is a living social deal on the zoolights.

My favorite is the Hirshorn Museum and Sculpture Garden–it’s right on the Mall and has some wonderful sculpture–Calder, Henry Moore, Rodin. Even if you dont go inside, walk through the garden!

They made it I to DC today, which may have been the coldest day so far this season. They took metro to Union Station, and made it to at least the Capitol, Library of Congress, the Botanical Garden, and the Zoo, including zoo lights. i think they had fun. We may or may not make it to a night walking tour of the monuments one day next week. If it’s really as warm as I’m hearing it could be, we probably will.
