“The long and winding road…”

Your stories are very inspirational! THANK YOU!

My dad went on a business trip to Boston when I was in 5th grade. He visted USNA and was blown away. He brought me back a t-shirt and a book on the Academy. The seed was planted. I remained mildly interested into 6th grade, when we went up for a football game. I loved it there, even at that age, and I knew that there was the place for me. I sent in a preliminary application as a 7th grader and got a nice, generic letter in return telling me to hold off a few years and to keep my grades up. Ever since, the end of a school year simply marks another year closer to Navy. Now I’m a Junior and can finally get cracking on my application here shortly. God-willing, all will go well. For me, I really do feel a calling to go there. Even when I would hear about the rough times you go through, the academic stress, etc. I don’t feel phased at all in my decision. I’m ready to go, I wish it would come sooner!
Well thats my little, nothing fancy story.
Wish me luck over the next year!

^^^^ If I could send you some luck, would send a bucket full! Keep at it!
