I am know someone via one of my family members who was with Scientology for decades. She only recently got out (last five years or so). She was pretty far up in the organization and was pretty responsible for bringing Mimi Rogers in, which started the accrual of some of the other Hollywood people. The story I’ve heard (through others, because I didn’t really know her then) is that they made her life absolute hell when she left. You can google her name (I’m not giving it out) and Scientology, and court cases come up. She sued them and unbelievably, and got her money back - I thought that was almost unheard of. But they harassed her for years - would show up at family member’s homes on holidays, call all the time, send mail, follow her, etc. I don’t know her well enough to ask her about it, and perhaps she’s reached a point (rebuilt her life) where she just doesn’t want to talk about it anymore.
I also know someone else who took a couple of their introductory classes while in college and like @Busdriver, they continued to send mail to his house and call. He told me they have called his home as recently as the last couple of years and I’m guessing this was 30+ years ago that he took those classes.
Can’t some of this behavior qualify as stalking?

I meant Hubbard himself was messed up as a person, you read his bio he left a trail of destruction far and wide,he was a drug user and a number of other thing. Someone who supposedly had the answers to lifes problems who is a mess is kind of like a personal trainer that is 60 pounds overweight and you see them eating junk food.
