A Few USC Questions

The issue is with the FAFSA rather than with the individual schools (and yes, it is likely affecting all your schools). I see that you were born in the Balkans. So you are either an eligible non-citizen or a US citizen - right? If an eligible non-citizen go back to your SAR and re-check that you entered your 8 or 9 digit alien registration number correctly. If it is wrong, log into FAFSA, correct it and your issue will be resolved.

If you are a citizen, it may be that your status has not yet been updated with the Social Security Administration (SSA). Contact the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 or visit the Social Security Administration’s Web site at www.ssa.gov

If those two ideas don’t help, use the FAFSA help number to figure it out. For USC at least, your FAFSA submission date will be on-time and your aid will not be reduced even if it takes some time to straighten out :)

Good luck.
