Mafool, I think your pedicurist’s neighbor’ cousin’s gardener must have the same chimney sweep as me. He was saying some of these things the other day, at Sam I Am Preschool for Great Futures.

cottonwood and mafool, do we all patronize the same dry cleaner? Mine was just raving about the Mud Dragons this morning.

The green dry cleaner that uses rolls of tape instead of chemicals? Yeah.

My dry cleaner has turned green. From the chemicals. But boy does he know about colleges!

re post 1361 up there, Life Imitates Art

This weekend (IRL) a pre school ad caught my eye. It stated something like, “There will be times when the decision you make, affects your child every day for the rest of their life!”

and ends with the question, “Can your three year old afford for you to say, not this year”?

OK, back to Meta for All of Us.

Glad the Preschool marketing people are on the ball. Do you by any chance know how many languages this school offers? And what about Montessori Anatomy and Physiology?

I think Montessori Anatomy and Physiology is independent self-study, and you get a note sent home to your parents about it.

^^^ I think my cousin musta been signed up for Montesorri Anatomy and Physiology in kindergarten. He got sent home for going into the girls bathroom and trying to look under the stalls or up their skirts. Ahhh… it all makes sense now…

Montessori method is, as you know, very hands on.

I understand that there is an extension available for the aforementioned Montessori Anatomy and Physiology self study course. For the advanced students there is the sleep study course. Graham crackers and milk are optional, of course.

I understand the Practical Life corner now includes college admissions interview practice.

Nursery school has certainly changed since our poor deprived kids were in it. It’s a wonder they were accepted into first grade!

Indeed, last year was a very anxious time for us, mommusic! Particularly since S2, missing his two front teeth, had such a difficult time pronouncing “reach,” “match,” and particularly “safety school.”

thafety thcool!

You do know there are prostheses available for kids during those “funny teeth” years, don’t you? It is no longer necessary to suffer through bad photographs of your darlings.

you guys crack me up…harriet I didn’t know this thread was even still around…think I was one of several who got the mods pretty uncomfortable last year. anyway carry on…I’ll try to get my humor thing going…too late right now

re: the pre school ad

Also pointed out, “She will make friends that last a lifetime!” Priceless.

^^^Well of course. They’ll all go to HYP together.

And woe to the parents that decide “Not this year” !

How quaint, this obsessing with preschools!

What many of us just “knew” has now been verified by reputable, non-repeatable studies: If you have not played Shostakovich and the complete lectures of Stephen Hawking to your child via earphones on Mummy’s Tummy for the last trimester in utero, you have, regrettably, pretty much missed the boat.

Sorry!

But of course, mafool, one can simply buy the little darling a new boat. Perhaps a whole fleet.
