A Meta-thread to save us all time

Boopsie didn’t actually SAY “quotidian,” but I could tell she was thinking it, as we did our round of daily errands. Although the Mandarin for Infants CD was kind of loud - she might have been thinking “cotillion” instead. Dance classes starting soon!

GA21012MOM, don’t mislead cottonwood lest she set little Gingko on a well beaten path. Projectile vomiting is not a unique talent. Wasting talent on special instruction, immersion programs for a marginally talented tot is often an exercise in futility.

If you had bothered to look, it’s already been covered in post #1277 here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/1061253417-post1277.html</a>

Jeez people, if you can’t bother using the search function, at least read through the whole thread.

So right, violadad.

alh, how are your five doing, by the way? They’re still on a strict facts-only diet, no?

Sorry violadad, I didn’t have 10 hours to read through the thread. Okay, I’ve come up with a new one (hopefully). How about “unique poop color?” That would show unusual dietary habits, and Gingko could “show” that through the essay.

I have no experience that would enable me to dispute the potential attraction of multi hued feces. Showing it through the essay is fine. If showing it through the diapers, I’d suggest a better brand.

Harriet? Five? Five what?

I was addressing the poster alh, violadad, who spoke for five of the octobabies, intending to bring them up in an idea-free, fact-rich environment.

Thank the gods. I thought you were trying to dump them off on me.

Oh my, the Right Path is getting crowded.

You all may be interested to know in the theater world, there is a makeup hue commonly called babysh** brown.

So I guess “unique poop color” would indeed make your octobaby stand out from the crowd.

I have noticed the Right Path becoming more of a Bandwagon that everyone wants to jump on. It may be time to find a Different Drummer and cross that bridge when we come to it. Next to the cliff everyone is jumping off of. Lemmings.

I agree, mommusic, but I remain somewhat uncertain about alh’s goals and fidelity to the Right Path. The entire absence of ideas isn’t what we seek here - it’s the entire absence of the WRONG ideas.

Meanwhile, Boopsie of course is thriving. Once again I could tell just by looking at her this morning that her thoughts were complex and unique. Then again maybe she was just preparing to participate in that hot new EC everybody’s talking about, Excretory Diversity.

Excretory Diversity? Oh please any toddler who gets ahold of too many twizzlers can participate in that one as can the 9 month old experimenting with pureed pears. HMW really you much challenge boopsie to greater heights! Tisk…am beginning to wonder if I should wander to another path.

historymom–now, now. You must admit that there is a HUGE difference in the toddler who eats red twizzlers and the baby who is adventurous enough to eat beets.

One must adequately explain it on apps, however. It’s like organic food or hand-spun wool–the results may look the same, but there are huge ideological differences!

We make much of our organic food from hand-spun wool. Woolcavores, we’re calling ourselves.

Then I assume your S2 is well on the way toward a cure for dry mouth?

Well, his teeth are never cold.

Someone tried to give me an afghan for O. Gingko and was then offended when a friend took it for her Corgi’s bed. Really!

Updating on my Octobaby here…hm, did I give her a name? Can’t quite remember…anyway, the piano lessons are going very well. She loves to play, and I am recording all her improv sessions for later transcription. There are definitely prize-winning concerti in there, as well as a goodly amount of meditative “new age” music.

I shall have to hire a professional copyist, I’m afraid…her ouevre is just too copious for me.

Piano? I was thinking of gamelan for Gingko, but I am just not up to listening to an infant bang on it all day.

I have just returned with my five babies from a road trip combining my commitment to sparkle quest competitions (so there! harrietmwelsch) with visits to a variety of schools famous for idea filled campus cultures even though I will insist upon a fact-rich, idea-free environment for my babies. Why should those schools be discriminating? I refuse to accept that schools whose mission is contrary to my agenda should exist in spite of my objections to all their agendas. Please don’t ask me to explain. I won’t. Because the environment was so intolerable the babies were not permitted from the van to actually tour the campuses but still we all got the idea. It was obvious. We shall visit more of this type of school next month. In the meantime could anyone volunteer to help with these babies, just for the next 17 years or so during application process? I need extremely knowledgeable right pathers who understand how to get kids into these right path schools but who will be careful to avoid pushing their right path agenda in the process.

Good thing you’re starting all this now, alh. Six months from now would have been far too late. The babies’ fates would have been sealed, they’d have been doomed to a life of mediocrity.
