First of all, you learn to walk faster once you’re at Berkeley. I’m from a suburb so I never do any walking. But when I got to Berkeley, I learned to walk faster. Mostly b/c for 8am classes, I wanted to wake up later… Not only do you walk faster, you also find shortcuts and such.

It is pretty possible to walk in 10 min from East end of campus to West end of campus. You’ll have to take into account which floor your classroom is on and such. Going from West to East is harder because it is uphill. The East end (Pimentel, Evans, Stanley, Haas, etc.) are all higher up than the West side (Tolman, RSF, etc.)

Going from say Dwinelle to North Gate is kind of hard to do in 10 min b/c there is a pretty big hill along the way.
