A Wake-Up Call

Actually just rcvd text from his wife - he is not going to make it. Sad, sobbing, cannot believe this, sad.

Thoughts and prayers, @rockvillemom G-D works in strange ways but his plans are just and have course and reason.

@rockvillemom, so sorry to hear this.

Oh, RVM–so very sorry. My brother’s wife died suddenly last month (though suffering from disabling illness for years), it’s so, so hard to lose someone so fast --prayers and thoughts with you and your friend’s family.

@rockvillemom, I’m so sorry.

Me too.

So sorry, RVM.

I am so very sorry, RVM. So incredibly sad.

So sorry for you and your friend.

So sorry for your loss, and the terrible waiting. So very sorry…

Thank you all very much. Appreciate it. I just have nothing else to say.

Hugs to you and his family. So very sad. I’m so sorry RVM

So sorry rvm.

Terrible news. I’m sorry to hear rvm.

((HUGS)) for you, rockvillemom. Sending prayers for you, your friend, his family and friends, and the medical team that is caring for him. I am so very sorry. I am also praying for your father, family, friends, and the medical team caring for him. I hope his pain is being managed and he is comfortable.

One thing H and I have done is researched the care at different hospitals in our area. If we should have a heart attack, we would want to be taken to Hospital A. If we were to be injured in a car accident, we would want to be taken to Hospital B.

I’m sorry. Prayers for him and his family, and yours.
(My 49yo brother died a couple months ago in a freak accident, leaving wife/6 kids. Still struggling to accept this reality.)

I am so sorry RVmom. Hugs to you.

@rockvillemom, so sorry.

While we should all strive to be healthy as we are able, I would just point out that looking for “reasons” why people suffer life-altering events is really just whistling in the dark. We can improve our odds, perhaps, but none of us is guaranteed another moment of life.

I have to agree with that. A lot of people have asked - is he overweight - does he smoke, etc. Yes and no. But people who appear perfectly fit have heart attacks and people who overeat and smoke can outlive them. I want to be healthier, but know there are no guarantees either way.

RVM, I am so sorry. Such a difficult week for you.
