I got an acceptance letter from a school that had and still has a sub-5% acceptance rate

While I agree with the general sentiment of the post, twenty some years ago no college had a sub-5% acceptance rate. Harvard’s acceptance rate in 2002 was 11.%. Yale and MIT, 16%. W&L was 31%.
