ABET accreditation for environmental engineering

I’ve discussed this with my friend who was also accepted into environmental engineering at UCSD. I think it would only matter for Graduate school. It’s engineering at UCSD. UCSD is a solid school with a good repuation for engineering. It’s not like it’s some weird school no one has heard of. The only UCs that are ABET accredited for Environmental Engineering are UCI and UCR. UCSD is by far better than them in engineering.

If you want to get a job with a big firm or for the government, that is where ABET accreditation will come in handy. Graduate schools is more important than undergraduate. Just make sure Graduate schools you apply to are ABET accredited. From what I’ve seen, there are no graduate schools in California that are ABET accredited for environmental engineering.
