ABET accreditation for environmental engineering

Graduate schools do not look for an ABET degree or take that into account for admissions. They really could give about ABET.

ABET plays a role when applying to jobs in the Military or other government positions. They have much stricter requirements.

For positions in the private sector, they have different requirements.

Also ABET plays a role when taking the PE exam. In the state of CA you don’t need to have an ABET degree to take the FE/EIT or PE exam. There are different year requirements, 48 months for non-ABET degrees/ 24 months for ABET degrees, when taking the PE exam. The FE/EIT you can take your senior year as long as you are in an engineering major.
