All Conservatory students must take some non-Conservatory classes. The amount varies depending on the major. The general education and elective requirements at Webster are very flexible - students have a lot of control over what classes they can take in order to satisfy degree requirements. Here is a link to the catalog which details the requirements for each program [Webster University–2007-2008 Undergraduate Catalog](http://www.webster.edu/ugcatalog/index.html)

Regarding application, academic admission is separate from Conservatory admission. A student needs to apply for academic acceptance and if accepted, proceed to audition for specific admission to the Conservatory.

Webster is generally considered a “moderately selective” school. Students most likely to be accepted will usually have a GPA of 3.0/4.0 scale, and a composite ACT of 21 or combined SAT of 1600.
