<p>Not true entirely. When I lived in East Laville, I know that the 1 person bedroom near me wasn’t an RA. My two RAs shared a 3-person bedroom (that’s a lot of room). I think the RAs get choices in the matter for the most part. In ECA, there are some RAs who have the single occupancy apartments and there are some that live with roommates because they chose to.</p>
<p>But I do agree that it’ll be hard to get one without special circumstances.</p>
<p>And yup, like any dorm I think, you’ll have people who have drinks or have illegal substances in their room. It was never a problem for me. I do remember during my stay that a few people were busted throughout the year for weed or other illicit drugs. And one guy I knew personally was caught with alcohol in his room. I think he was placed on academic probation and his scheduling priority was taken away. RAs and RLCs aren’t allowed to open any closets or closed doors (like refrigerators) during safety inspections, so as long as you keep it in there and not have it out, you shouldn’t be caught if you choose to participate in such activities .</p>
