<p>You don’t need to be 1st or 2nd ranked to get into ANY school in this country. Admissions officers take students from a variety of backgrounds for ANY of the top schools. It depends on a lot of factors like the student, school’s academic reputation, admission officer’s mood, etc etc. For example, my friend with a 3.4 and no hook got into Stanford.</p>
