Acceptances for Freshman 2006-2007!

My daughter is a vocal performance major, and she always has lots to do with her fellow music majors. Chorus is pretty demanding, right now they are in Hilton Head for a couple of days doing ‘Brahms Requiem’. She also got a job as a staff singer in a church–most all of the churches in Charleston hire singers, the pay is pretty good. She looks forward to Saturdays as it’s usually her downtime to catch up on stuff–laundry, shopping, etc.

There are a LOT of apartments available in Charleston, and many are listed on the school website here:

I personally wanted her to stay in the dorms the first year, as there is at least a little control and someone to go to in case of trouble. Crime is not like it is in the northeast–you do hear of occasionally robberies, but it’s said that the biggest crime on campus is bike theft, and my daughter knows of lots of kids’ bikes that have been stolen. There are also the call boxes all over campus plus a security escort service for after dark. You should probably get a dorm deposit in ASAP, we didn’t have a problem but sent ours in early March.
