<p>I can’t quite tell from your post if you mean you already have 30 units and will earn 27 more (57 total) in the 2010-2011 school year, or if you mean you will have 30 total at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. Depending on which it is, USC will consider your application differently:</p>

<p>If you have **completed 30 units **when you submit your application, USC will primarily consider your *college transcript *for admissions purposes. If you have completed fewer than 30 units, they will primarily consider your high school record and test scores.</p>

<p>Either way, it is worth applying. If you have fewer than 30 units, your high school record will certainly make you stand out and give you an interesting story to tell. If you are unsuccessful this year you can keep up your 3.8 pace and apply next year with good prospects.** If you have 30 units or more**, a 3.8 is a very good college GPA that puts you in a good position, and you have your high school experiences to draw on in your essay that again may make you stand out a bit.</p>
