That’s our question. Is 1 C one trimester considered a serious decline in grades?

1 c no. 3 c’s or any D or F then yes

Question about Football tickets : As admitted students, I’m sure they will be getting an offer to buy season tickets for 2020 soon. DD doesn’t care about football but I don’t mind attending some games, if not all (pity THE game is in Columbus this year). What’s the best (cheapest?) way for me to go to the game on her ticket? Thanks.

Students tickets are $180.00 for the season. Which is a great deal She might decide to go since it’s much more then just football. Its like a religious experience… Lol.

You need to get the ticket validated to use it.https://mgoblue.com/sports/2018/9/4/student-ticket-faqs.aspx

Tickets are mostly available through like stub hub also.

For my kid, we buy the football, hockey and basketball student tix all together for $515. The breakdown is roughly $200 for football, $150 for hockey and $150 for bball. The $515 includes a service charge.

You can more often than not sell your tickets on the student exchange for more than the face value. And because of the high demand, we make back the entire $515 and then some by the end of all three seasons.

Freshman will get last “dibs.” I believe freshman sports tix will go on sale in early June. Buy the student ticket as soon as they go on sale. They will sell out fast.

FYI, if you attend in the student section, then you will need to stand nearly the entire game.

Thank you @Knowsstuff and @sushiritto . Standing the entire game along with a bunch of hyperactive 18-22 year olds doesn’t sound too exciting for me, so let me think about this further

@RaLaSrSa

The one game that I attended this year, which was against ND in a frigid rainstorm, I sat in a non-student section and had to stand for most of the game. Of course, I don’t mind at all. That’s what all those squats, deadlifts, running, etc. is for anyway.

So, I’m not sure you saving that much energy by not buying the student section ticket.

If your only going to go to a few games a year then buy them on Stub hub or the like. The prices go down about 1.5 weeks prior to the game then shoot up. You can get tickets for $50 - 70 most games but have to time it correctly. 2 years ago I got Ohio State game at home for $100 /ticket. I didn’t go this year but it would of been $130 if you don’t wait. So not too crazy price wise and it’s a lot of fun. We didn’t stand the whole time for any game but once your there it’s kinda hard not to get into it. We didn’t sit in the students sections, just regular sections. Beware : , certain sections are for Out of town schools. Stay away from there… Lol…

@Knowsstuff I’m not that crazy about football that I’d go buy tickets on StubHub. Since there’s an option of season tickets (that too very cheap) through DD, I was thinking of watching atleast some games at a reasonable price. But if validating those tickets etc. makes it the same as the regular ticket price, then not sure I’d be interested. OTOH, looks like I can make up for that extra money by selling the other tickets that I don’t attend on StubHub or wherever. Sweet dilemma!

@RaLaSrSa. I got tickets a few years ago to one of the prime games from someone just like you here on cc. Lol… Keep me in mind for next year… Lol ?

The thing about the OSU game is that it’s always played Thanksgiving Weekend. And since there’s a large OOS population that also goes home that week, there were plenty of tickets available for relatively cheap. My kid had a little trouble selling that ticket, since supply was greater than the demand.

?

Lets never discuss THAT game here. I went to clemson for undergrad before Ross and glad we killed them with a shutout couple of years back and then this year was MAGNIFICIENT.

… tonites game will be great.

I hear the crickets this morning.

Curious if anyone has heard about financial aid awards yet? When do they typically start coming out?

We have been requested to send in additional documents for financial aid. They have requested W2s and Tax returns for parent and student. Does parent mean custodial parent or non custodial parent?

We checked my D last night and it was updated. It was funky to find though - it is in Wolverine Access and needed a different password than the one for the admissions portal. She did not receive a notification. My guess is we stumbled on it prior to an email going out.

Someone got their Michigan grant recently so financial aid must be coming.

@chillywaters. Email /call financial aid and confirm. Hate to give bad financial advise.

Got financial aid

One more question as Financial Aid office isn’t responding today. If asked for 2018 Tax Return, does it have to be the IRS transcript or can I send a copy of my tax return from my files.
