Weenie,
My DD is a poly sci major too. She’s in the Lugar program. She may also end up with a double-major or minor in Spanish. That would be funny if they ended up in a class together!

Graeters ~ can’t beat it for the best french pot ice cream going. It is from Cincinnati where you will also find such noteables as Skyline ( the home of the 3 way), LaRosa has the best the best pizza , Montgomery Ribs and Busken Bakery. Picktown has the usual chain of stores that are great for the usual items that need picked up, but for a shopping experience, Easton has everything and then some. It is an open air shopping extraganza. I actually prefer to just sit and watch the people. I find that many of the specialty stores have online catalogues that i can shop from so I just enjoy the atmosphere. An excellent food venue at Easton is The Melting Pot ( fondue $$) and Then there is BD’s Mongolian Barbeque. Yeah ~ I like to eat :)

D is looking at Biology but is also interested in art history. She is looking at Denison, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan, Ball State and Miami. She is a junior so she is spending time searching the internet.

How far is Fraley Inn from DU? What about places to stay in Columbus on night of arrival? Thanks for any advice or thoughts. Coming from 4-4 to 4-6 for admitted students overnight.

Fraley House is about 1 1/2 miles from Denison. We have walked it before - but more for fun than for practicality. Warning - she books up quickly though.

If you don’t stay in Granville, the next best place to stay is in Newark. The Marriott Courtyard is closest, but there is a Hampton Inn and Longaberger Hotel called The Place Off the Square. We got the Courtyard for $50 on Priceline recently, that was a steal.

We have never stayed in Columbus. It seems pretty far. We’d probably only do it if there was nothing else available (and then we’d try Priceline).

Someday we might spring for a stay at Easton Center though, just for fun. (Expensive.)
