Act feb 2010 reading

kjiggy - wasn’t that question something like “what was the narrator’s reaction to lines whatever-whatever [depicting his/her mom and dad teasing each other]?” If that’s what you’re talking about, I said that he/she “didn’t understand her parent’s banter” or something along those lines, as it said a few sentences down that he/she was kind of confused.

Now that I’ve typed that I feel like I’m talking about a different question…

no science that was a different question.

C is the correct answer except it might have been D on the test.

that was a different question science and i put the same answer as you for the question you’re talking about

I think I also put C, because the other’s don’t sound right… Not too sure though.

For the fictional one, what was a question the author brought up and didn’t answer? I said something about being a rebel-in-son but i’m not sure on that at all.

same here mango man. the passage didn’t answer why he was a rebel

I answered rebel as well.

Does anyone know what he most looked forward to? Was it a chance to stay overnight or ride a horse (I don’t remember the choices.)?

kevinnnnni, I don’t remember that being one of the questions… I could be wrong, though. Could you clarify?

i dont remember that question. how was it again?

Uh the rebel-in-son was his brother Alex. I remember the question you’re talking about, but I don’t remember exactly what is was asking.

The question asked what made him a rebel and the passage did not answer that

On the 3rd passage, why was she uncomfortable being in places without lots of books? I remember not immediately knowing the answer

she wanted a quick escape from reality or something like that. Definetly had to do with a quick escape.

same here olleger. From these past post I really feel like i did great on the reading and english. hopefully we’re not just all getting the same wrong answers :)

getoutofmyyard the question asked “Which of the following did the passage not answer directly”?
A. Why his brother was considered a rebel
B. Why the main character considers himself grown now (had to do with him riding a horse)
i can’t remember the rest

Ahh yes, I remember now. It was A! :)

I remember putting something about an escape as well.

sciencefrenchie and getoutofmyyard are correct

Does anyone know what he most looked forward to in the first passage? Was it a chance to stay overnight or ride a horse?

I remember those two options for answers, but I dont remember the question being phrased that way. Are you sure that is what it asked?
