<p>Be honest, sob stories are overdone. I would try to report them now if you can, and appeal the decision. Unless the scores were terrible, chances are it is just an administrative checkmark on their to-do list to ensure your admission. Each school is different, but I ran into a similar situation where one of my colleges did not send transcripts in a timely manner. I was still admitted around this time (maybe even later in August - very last minute). All you can do is try, and be honest that you didn’t realize that was necessary for a college transfer. </p>
