<p>Last year Bowdoin planned to take applicants off the wait list, in large part because the year before the yield had exceeded expectations and Bowdoin ended up with a larger-than-anticipated first-year class by about 25 (this would be the class of 2014) and housing problems/congestion. I don’t know exactly how many were taken off the wait list last year but they started working through it in early in May and completed the wait list process relatively quickly (by the late May, IIRC). It may be the same again this year as last year so don’t give up hope just yet.</p>
